Pure Decadence

Fully ripe raspberries are remarkably sensuous in shape, color and texture. Adding the rich, dark elegance of a slice of German chocolate cake and the soft, feminine folds of linens enhances their sensuality, as does the translucent delicacy of porcelain and the crisp coolness of the silver fork. The result is simply a delightful still life. Although working on it was challenging: the lights warmed cake and raspberries, sending wafts of seductive odors into my studio.
